I am Silke Debandt, a visual artist driven by a strong passion for activism and feminism. These themes hold immense significance in my artwork, as I strive to create a space for thought, discussion, and emotional exploration surrounding feminism and femininity. Every stitch and artistic expression aims to ignite conversations and challenge societal norms.

Alongside my artistic endeavors, I have had the privilege to work as an (assistant) costume designer on various theatre productions. This experience has allowed me to bring my keen attention to detail and imbue meaning into every aspect of the creative process. Since September 2022, I have been proudly working in the ateliers of the Flemish Opera's costume department, where I worked on both opera and dance productions for a year. Now my main focus is costume design and teaching art classes.
